CGB Marine, Cooper Consolidated, LLC, and The Cooper Group once again proudly supported The Seamen's Church Institute (SCI) at the River Bell Awards luncheon in Paducah, KY. This year's event was a tremendous success. With over 500 industry peers in attendance, the luncheon raised nearly $500,000 and helped SCI surpass its annual operating goal of $5 million. These funds will help SCI hire additional staff to directly support our maritime industry family. Mariners and maritime professionals have long relied on SCI for chaplaincy, crisis response, training, and legal advocacy in times of adversity. This dedicated organization is always ready to support both inland and coastal mariners facing incredible challenges. SCI chaplains visit over 2,000 vessels annually at our coastal ports and inland waterway system. CGB SVP, Lance Rase, MBA, who again provided voluntary service on this year's planning committee, remarked, “SCI is a cornerstone of support for our maritime community, and the annual River Bell Awards highlight this mission by honoring and acknowledging the contributions of those throughout the maritime industry. The importance of this group cannot be overstated, and the services they provide have a profound impact on the lives of our mariner and seafaring communities." Also in attendance: Eric Slater, Art Kehoe, Mark Cruse, Joe Olin, Dave Simpson, Matt Akins, MBA, Mitch Whelan, and Allen Tappen

CTLC is keeping the lights on one transformer at a time! With strategic locations throughout the Mississippi River inland waterway system, CTLC is always a stone's throw away from your next project. CTLC's terminal in Aurora, IN recently provided a customer with rail spur and operating space to directly transfer this transformer from a depressed railcar to a self-propelled modular transporter (SPMT). By utilizing this location, this customer minimized their over-the-road distance - saving time and money. CTLC has the flexibility to offer our customers a wide array of services to support their evolving needs. Please reach out to our team for more information at projectcargo@cgb.com!

Busy morning trying to beat the heat in the POH last week! This job had its challenges due to last minute schedule changes but timely, open communication between all parties allowed for a smooth alternative plan to be laid out and executed. Great job by the tug, stevedoring, and lashing crews to get this trafo loaded safely and securely before lunchtime. For any project needs, don’t hesitate to reach out for solutions. #transformer #projectcargo #projectmanagment #hopperbarge #logistics #transparencyintransportation
