At CAPK we hosted our annual Thanksgiving luncheon with clients at our M Street Navigation Center, which we proudly administer in partnership with Kern County Thanks to the generosity of Dignity Health and the support of our incredible community, we were able to bring a warm Thanksgiving meal to individuals experiencing homelessness. This special day serves as a reminder that no matter where we are in life, everyone deserves compassion, dignity, and the simple joys of a shared meal.

We are thrilled to share a highlight video showcasing our heartwarming coat distribution event for Head Start children. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors Chevron, California Resources Corporation, and Bakersfield West Rotary—we were able to ensure that our little ones are warm and ready for the season ahead. This initiative reflects the power of partnership in creating meaningful impacts for families in our community.

For many families in Kern County, receiving a coat for the winter is not as easy as it may seem. We understand well the need of our community and so do our partners. Our Foundation collaborated with Chevron, California Resources Corporation, and Bakersfield West Rotary to make a difference. These organizations generous donation of over 1,300 coats will not only keep Head Start children cozy during the cold, but also provide essential support to families facing challenges. Thank you for keeping our children warm this winter. #CAPKinAction #Community #HeadStart #KernCounty #Partnership

Making waves with our Shafter Youth Center program! Thanks to a generous grant from the California Coastal Commission, we've been able to educate and inspire our youth about the importance of our coasts. Our recent beach clean-up project at the William Randolph Hearst Memorial State Beach was a huge success! But the fun doesn't stop there. We also separately had an amazing visit to the Charles Paddock Zoo, where we learned about wildlife conservation.

What a week it's been! Our CAPK Food Bank hosted the incredible 'Stuff the Bus' food drive, and the response was overwhelming. We stationed ourselves right in front of Valley Plaza, where we collected generous food donations from both local companies and amazing individuals in our community. Bakersfield, you showed up and joined us in our fight against hunger. We can't thank you enough for your support and generosity. Together, we're making a difference! #CAPKinAction #Bakersfield #KernCounty #FoodInsecurity
