Civic tech is evolving faster than ever. With new perspectives and priorities from the incoming administration, and continued technology advancements, government contracting firms need to adapt to provide innovative solutions for federal agencies and the communities they serve. The 2025 OrangeSlices Vanguard FedCiv 250 award recognizes firms that stand out against this competitive backdrop and have excelled at securing federal services contracts in the 2024 fiscal year. We deeply appreciate being named among this year’s honorees and look forward to connecting with fellow industry leaders at the celebration event on January 13. #Elev8 #Elev8GovCon #Government #Tech #Leadership

Meet Coforma’s newest Senior Software Engineer, Anthony Tran! After taking a human-centered design class at his university, Anthony knew he wanted to work in a space that put people before profits. He translated that passion into a role at an organization focused on getting underrepresented communities into tech. Later, he worked as a software engineer in the automotive industry, working with business users to better understand their use cases and improve their experiences. Anthony felt confident about joining Coforma after learning about the organization’s strong cultural values and impactful projects. “While working on improving legacy systems, I loved hearing from users about how much time and energy they were saving from the changes we implemented. I feel that life itself is complicated enough; I’m grateful to be able to simplify it for others where I can.” Anthony is originally from Seattle, WA, but is based in Austin, TX. You can find him there bartending for friends, bouldering, attending concerts, and kayaking. Welcome to the team, Anthony! #CoformaCareers #EngineeringJobs #RemoteWork #CivicTech

We are honored to announce that Coforma has secured a new contract with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) via the General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule called Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Applications. Over the next three years, we’ll continue our work with the Clinical Decision Support Collaborative to streamline the way VA clinicians access clinical support decision information, seamlessly integrating it into the electronic health record systems they use every day. Coforma will help VA realize its goal to improve health outcomes for Veterans while reducing cognitive load on clinicians. By using human-centered methodologies and drawing from direct user experience, we’ll continue developing tools that provide clinicians with real-time, interoperable patient data, empowering them to make evidence-based, informed treatment recommendations that enhance Veteran care. Since 2021, Coforma has supported VA in innovative clinical decision support to Veterans and clinicians. We are deeply passionate about our Veterans Services work and look forward to continuing to develop technology solutions that improve healthcare outcomes for our nation’s Veterans. Let’s get to work! #VeteranServices #Veterans #CivicTech #DigitalServices #GovernmentServices

Last week, Warrior Rising hosted their 2024 Saluting Her Service event, which celebrated women Veteran entrepreneurs by offering mentorship and providing grants of up to $50,000 for the winners of a business pitch competition. Coforma had the privilege of both sponsoring and providing judges for this year’s event. We enjoyed celebrating women Veterans at the gala on Thursday, where the Vetrepreneur winners were announced. The gala’s program also included an address from Martha Stewart. As a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), we care deeply about supporting Veterans’ success. Thanks to Warrior Rising for creating this incredible experience and congratulations to all the women Veterans who participated in the pitch competition! We can’t wait to applaud your future successes. #SalutingHerService #WarriorRising #VeteranServices #SocialImpact #Vetreprenuer

Join us in welcoming our newest Software Engineer, Jacky A.! From working on systems that route calls at Lyft to helping maintain a free tax filing service at Code for America, Jacky focuses on adjusting and creating technology to make people’s lives easier. His information transfer acumen regularly brings his peers up to speed and helps stakeholders cement their understanding of what’s happening and what’s to come. “I moved from private-sector work to supporting public interest technology,” Jacky shares. “It resonates more with me personally and allows me to see material change in ways not readily available in other places. I hope to contribute more to the space and model a viable career path for other technologists who may not have considered this as a way to be involved in the greater tech landscape.” When the laptop’s tucked away, you can find Jacky sketching the different types of animals he’s come across in Florida. As a New York native, cooking and sharing are embedded in his approach to community. When not doing that, he’s combing through his to-read list of fiction and fantasy or trying to teach his dog how to water his dozens of plants. We’re happy you’re here, Jacky! #EngineeringJobs #WFH #Government #Technology
