When we started on our Colonial Beach journey 3.5 years ago, one of the first projects we started planning was our coworking space, CoBe Workspaces, in the historic bank building on Hawthorn Street. This property is one of the most iconic buildings in town, with tons of history going back 100+ years. We wanted badly to bring this structure back to life and use it as a point of inspiration for locals, visitors and future developers in CB. With our experience with Gather, we knew first hand how a coworking space/event space can serve as a focal point for a block/neighborhood/community and be a linchpin for neighborhood revitalization. This space has coworkers by day and turns into event space at night and on the weekend. We've hosted non-profit meetings, baby showers and we have a 12 person conference room in the back that we and others use for Strategic Planning. If you do off-site strategic plannings for your team, consider heading to CB. Use our conference room, get lunch catered by Circa 1892 next door, stay in our Airbnb's upstairs, and head to Muse or Drift for dinner across the street.
