Our 3rd, and final, opportunity to contribute to the forthcoming v1 iMasons Climate Accord Maturity Model for emissions reduction in #digitalinfrastructure is now open until Monday, January 6th. The Maturity Model is a framework by which a company can compare the maturity of their facilities against industry best-practice. With this publication, the ICA codifies established best-practices set forth by our Governing Body and Working Groups, supported by our case studies and other work outlining opportunities -- and challenges -- in #decarbonizing data center #power, #equipment, and #materials. ✅ Don't miss the chance to share your insights: https://lnkd.in/egsDREK4 https://climateaccord.org/

SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE In January 2024, the Open Compute Project Foundation and the iMasons Climate Accord (iCA) announced their formal partnership, aligning industry leadership of #digitalinfrastructure including a joint workstream focused on embodied carbon. As this industry grows at unprecedented rates, it is clearer than ever that the #embodiedcarbon of the equipment and materials are a serious threat to our #netzero future. The first step in tackling this problem is improved #transparency. The mission of this OCP/iCA workstream is to create a standardized format for embodied carbon declarations that make this process easier for suppliers, and manageable for data center operators. During this follow-up webinar from the OCP Global Summit, workstream leads (Google, Microsoft, Meta, and Schneider Electric) will share the outputs of this project -- the result of extensive collaboration and feedback from across the industry. They will also walk participants through v1 of the questionnaire and field questions on next steps of the process. Date: Wednesday, November 20th Time: 8-9am PST
