Business lessons from Troy while plowing: hire people who enjoy what they do, get the mains done first (priorities), salt after you plow and only what you need(use only what you need), use the hood to line things up but check the mirror to make sure it is going well(plan and align but verify and review results), have backups and people who pitch in(team matters), always keep moving, and don't get sucked into the curb. #localgov
Our public works crew was hard at work Thursday after the snow. They started plowing the roads at 5 a.m., making sure streets were clear for vehicles to get around town. Hop in and take a ride in "Blizzard Wizard" with Troy Connolly, one of the City's plow drivers, to learn more about how the public works department gets the job done.
