Founded in 1997, Women in Public Finance started out with a focus on the mid-west region which has expanded over the years to draw interest from all over the United States. In 2010, Women in Public Finance amended its bylaws to recognize regional chapters and affiliates, encouraging professionals within a particular state to provide more frequent personal contact and facilitate regional activities that complement the nationally focused activities of WPF. The Chicago chapter was established in 2016. Participants in our organization include state and local government issuers, not-for-profit issuers, investment bankers, attorneys, financial advisors, rating agency analysts, bond insurers, and trust officers among others.

Thank you, Heidi! We were happy to have you with us, along with 185 other members of the Chicago Chapter of Women in Public Finance, also including WPF President Jennifer Fredericks; panel leaders Elizabeth Coolidge and Samantha Costanzo; and our event non-profit partner Sarah's Circle!
It was a pleasure to attend the Chicago Chapter of Women in Public Finance conference yesterday. GovHR/MGT’s own Maureen Barry is chapter President. Speakers included Cook County Board Chair Toni Preckwinkle, former Illinois Director of Public Health Dr. Ngozi Ezike as well as panels of women leaders in public finance who delivered industry insights and discussed their leadership journeys! GovHR/MGT was a proud sponsor of this event! #GovHR #MGT #Women in Public Finance
