We’ve also advanced expansion projects in Santander and Lisbon and launched the Chane Academy, offering Learning & Development opportunities like our first in-house Operator C training in the Bulk terminal world. These accomplishments are just a glimpse of the many projects we've worked on in 2024. At Chane, we prioritize preserving quality of our customers’ products across all our terminals. Chane supports flood recovery at the 2024 Valencia Marathon 🏃♂️ On December 1, 2024, Chane participated in the 44th Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Marathon, showing solidarity with Valencia and supporting recovery efforts after the recent floods. Representing Chane was Agustin Moreno, Terminal Manager for our Spanish terminals. This year’s marathon raised funds to rebuild sports facilities ⚽️, promote grassroots sports, and meet basic needs in affected areas 🏘️. A key part of this effort was the Valencia Run X Valencia campaign, which has already raised over €59,000 to aid flood-affected communities. Chane is proud to support actions that make a real impact in local communities. 🌟🤝

Proactivity and a personal approach are key 🔑 for Chane Terminal Le Havre: “We want our clients to feel like we are an extension of their own organisation. We want to help optimise their entire logistics chain.” The new Tankpit 23, currently under construction, is a great example of this customer-focused attitude. 🚀 Chane launches first in-house MBO programme in bulk terminal industry. "At Chane, we are constantly learning from each other," says Geeske Steeneken, L&D lead. This drive led to Chane’s in-house MBO programme for Operators A, B, and C—the first of its kind in the bulk terminal industry. Tailored to Chane’s operations, it develops talent, fosters knowledge-sharing, and prepares employees for leadership. 📚🛠️ Participants, like Bas Davids, combine theory with hands-on practice and conduct research on real cases. ⛴️ ⚓In een interview met de Scheepvaartkrant vertelt Michiel Flier, Business Unit Director, over onze Botlek en Nieuwe Maas terminals. Met meer dan 370 opslagtanks, een jaarlijkse doorzet van meer dan 15 miljoen ton aan producten, en de grootste biobrandstofopslag van Europa, blijven we ons ontwikkelen. Zo passen we onze laadarmen en slangen aan met eindafsluiters om weer een verbetering op het gebied van veiligheid en milieu door te voeren. 💡Onze terminals zijn een onmisbare schakel in de Rotterdamse haven en daarbuiten. We're excited to announce a major achievement for Chane’s Internal Audit Function! 🎉 This October, we had our first-ever external quality assessment performed by ONE Risk Advisory B.V. (Frank van Dissel & Thijs Smit), to assess if Chane’s Internal Audit Function complies with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) standards. Happy to share that Chane Internal Audit Function earned a general conformance rating. ✅ This milestone reached just two and a half years after Chane introduced the Internal Audit Function and reflects the hard work and dedication of the team. The review confirmed that we generally comply with the IPPF standards, and the Institute of Internal Auditors Code of Ethics and that the function is seen by internal stakeholders as results-driven and impactful. It’s rewarding to see these efforts acknowledged, reinforcing our positive impact in Audit, Risk, and Control.
