As my tenure as President of SoCalNOMA - Southern California Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we have shared over the past three years. Leading this chapter has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, and I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support, dedication, and passion of each and every one of you. Together, we have made significant strides in advancing our mission of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the architecture and design professions. From growing our membership and amplifying underrepresented voices to fostering professional development and creating opportunities for the next generation, the work we’ve done has left an indelible mark on our chapter and our industry. While it is bittersweet to step away from this role, I do so with immense confidence in the future of SoCal NOMA. I am thrilled to pass the torch to Matthew Trotter, AIA, NOMA, NCARB, a leader of extraordinary vision, passion, and commitment. Under Matthew’s guidance, I have no doubt that our chapter will continue to flourish and reach even greater heights. The chapter is truly in good hands. Although I am transitioning from my role as Chapter President, I am excited to continue serving NOMA as the West Region Vice President—representing the "Best Region." This new role will allow me to champion our shared goals on a broader scale while staying connected to the amazing work happening here in Southern California. Thank you, SoCal NOMA, for entrusting me with this responsibility and for inspiring me with your dedication and creativity every step of the way. It has been an honor to serve, and I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you in my new capacity. With gratitude and warm regards, Craig
