This morning, I had the privilege of delivering street medicine supplies to the Community Intervention Center in Scranton, Pa. Carelon Behavioral Health generously provided items to assist individuals facing housing instability, especially during harsh cold weather conditions. The Center plays a crucial role in offering aid to those living on the streets. Upon my arrival, I witnessed a bustling scene at the Center, with around 30 individuals seeking refuge from the cold on a frigid 27-degree day in Scranton.

Let's ensure there are readily available mental health services, specialized training for providers, robust peer support programs, and family engagement to help our veterans heal. Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo announced a major upgrade to Nevada's crisis response services this week, under a new contract with Carelon Behavioral Health. Over the next six months, the $49.7M initiative will open a new 988 call center, ensuring that Nevadans in need will get faster support.
