ICYMI: Research from Omdia predicts "a surge in telecom network API revenue, with global revenue projected to rise from $161M in 2023 to $8.7B in 2029, driven by subscriber identity APIs." At the top of the list? 🔹 Number Verification 🔹 SIM Swap Omdia’s Senior Analyst for Service Provider Strategies, Adam Mackenzie said: “Network APIs not only provide new revenue directly but can also drive further revenue through connectivity and newly enabled services. Telecom operators have taken an inclusive approach as they recognize that each party in the ecosystem adds to the business case: hyperscale operators, aggregators, equipment vendors and telecom operators are working together to improve security and quality of applications and customer experience.” Learn how #CAMARA is at the heart of the network API revolution + get involved today: https://camaraproject.org/ Find out more about Omdia's predictions: https://lnkd.in/e6MnaVdi #APIs #Telcos #opensource GSMA Open Gateway TM Forum The Linux Foundation

How does #CAMARA (The Linux Foundation) work with GSMA Open Gateway & TM Forum to further network APIs? The organizations all work together to standardize open network APIs by aligning industry requirements, technical specifications, and developer-friendly implementations. ✅ GSMA standardizes the distribution channels (defines high-level frameworks, templates and business frameworks ✅ TM Forum develops & standardizes operate APIs (catalogue and order management, on-/offb-oarding, billing) ✅ and CAMARA standardizes & defines management/service APIs (+ drives adoption among opertors & developers) ❓ Want to learn more and get involved, or join as a sponsor organization and take a seat at the collaborative table to shape the future of the open telco API ecosystem? ➡️ Visit www.camaraproject.org #APIs #Telcos #opensource #linuxfoundation

App Developer Magazine recently posted a comprehensive look at "Network API Development in 2025," that outlines the opportunity that network APIs present. "App developers & SIs are leveraging network intelligence, scale and speed in ways that were previously unavailable using a new set of standardized application programming interfaces (APIs) being developed by the telco industry." Financial applications and Indusrty 4.0 use cases are called out as immediately relevant for developers. Check out the full post for more context, as well details on #CAMARA's role in expanding these opportunities: https://lnkd.in/e-3vkU8T 🙏 Thanks to Mikko Jarva for the write-up! #APIs #telco #opensource #GSMA #TMForum #linuxfoundation

Great info from Omdia on the revenue opportunity and potential that #CAMARA and GSMA Open Gateway offers telcos. Take a look, and get involved in the community today. 🔹 CAMARA site: https://camaraproject.org/ 🔹 GSMA Open Gateway site: https://lnkd.in/ehQEFZFv (Thanks James Crawshaw, Adam Mackenzie)
Great report from Omdia's Adam Mackenzie on the #OpenGateway / #CAMARA opportunity for telcos. It explains the methodology behind the revenue estimates he recently published and his thinking about the TAM potential of the major APIs. His comments on network quality APIs (#QoD) are particularly noteworthy: "QoD and #networkslicing are both affected by net neutrality ... Managing capacity while maintaining optimal performance adds to the challenge, especially with fluctuating demand. The market opportunity for QoD is greater in markets where net neutrality regulation is absent or for use cases that are deemed as “specialized services” and “ additional services” in net neutrality regulations." What will happen to #netneutrality regulation and its interpretation in the US under the next administration? Prediction: T-Mobile revenue from QoD will exceed that of parent company Deutsche Telekom. Note: scale removed from the chart to preserve Adam's IP. https://lnkd.in/emKaPMEu
