For the third year in a row, we're thrilled to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami’s Holiday Party with a meal donation. On this #GivingTuesday, gifts of all sizes can make a huge impact on the lives of those around us – especially to under resourced and underserved schools in our communities. Launched in 2023, the BK Crown A Classroom Program, will amplify the Foundation's mission of empowering potential by providing classroom supplies to schools near Burger King restaurants that need it the most. Surveys show that 94% of teachers reach into their own pockets to purchase classroom necessities, spending an average of $820 on school supplies needed to help their students learning. With many not earning enough, this shows the pure dedication to their students. We want to match our educator’s passion for empowering their students by bridging the gap in education. This #GivingTuesday, funds raised will support the Foundation’s three signature programs. Take a look at how at how the Foundation is supporting the BK Scholars Program by advancing the education of deserving students in the form of scholarships. To date, the BK Scholars Program has awarded $60 million to over 51,000 deserving students across North America since 2000. In 2024 alone, the Foundation awarded $4.5 million to 4,200 students.

Every year at the Burger King Foundation Convention, the Foundation honors individuals who embody the Jim McLamore spirit of giving that our brand was founded on. This year the Foundation was proud to name Dawn and Kevin Haas from K&JK Enterprises, Inc as the 2024 King of Giving. Through their continued support of the Foundation’s programs for 17 years through personal gifts, event participation and restaurant fundraising, their support reaches far beyond what we can measure, touching the lives of so many families, students and BK Team Members. Thank you, Dawn and Kevin Haas, for being true champions of the Foundation!

Our annual Golf Classic at the 2024 Burger King Convention in Las Vegas was a hole-in-one success, bringing together Burger King Leadership, Franchisees, vendors and supporters for a morning of 18 holes. Held at Arroyo Golf Club, the event featured friendly competition, exciting contests such as longest drive to closest-to-the-pin and an award luncheon to crown the top foursome. Funds raised from the event help support our local communities through our programs.
