With #GivingTuesday right around the corner, here’s a fun throwback to Halloween at the TABS (The Association of Boarding Schools) Annual Conference! Our CEO and Founder, Holman Gao, joined Western Reserve Academy's Head of School and TABS Board Co-Chair, Suzanne Walker Buck, to lead a session dressed as literal “bucks.” The session spotlighted Reserve’s extraordinary 50 Brilliant Years of Women campaign, celebrating the 50th anniversary of becoming co-educational. Together, they shared actionable insights on: 👉 How an engaged community paves the way for securing lead donors. 👉 The power of personalized digital asks. 👉 Strategies to inspire participation from every corner of your school. Boost took Seattle, and what a week it was! 🐟 We kicked things off by hosting an incredible Advancement Leader Roundtable & Lunch with some of the brightest minds in the PNW’s K-12 advancement community. A big thank you to O'Dea High School for being our gracious hosts and leading the conversation. Next, we dove into #bbcon2024, soaking up insights, sharing ideas, and even embracing some Seattle culture (shoutout to our own Lily Shaw for catching a Pike Place Market Fish!). It was an energizing week, reinforcing our commitment to helping K-12 schools raise more, engage their communities, and achieve their goals with the only platform built exclusively for their giving, events, and auctions.

Our team is on the move! 📍 Last week, a member of the Boost team, Lily Shaw, visited some of our partner schools in Seattle. She had the pleasure of connecting with the incredible development teams at O'Dea High School (pictured), Charles Wright Academy, and The Lakeside School. It’s so exciting to see our community growing in the Pacific Northwest as we partner with more schools to help make their fundraising initiatives more appealing to donors and simpler to manage. A major thanks to our friends in Seattle: Michael Otter-Alvarado, MBA, De'Andre Jones, M.Ed., Michelle Verkooy, Richard Timmons, Lauren Andrews, Allie DeLong-Thomas, Ethan Greenberg, and Samantha Dale.

Last month, the Boost team got together for our annual retreat to brainstorm the best ways to help K-12 schools raise more, increase participation, and delight their donors. Additionally, we had the great opportunity to work one-on-one with two of our incredible partners, the Park Tudor School (pictured) and Cathedral High School. Their insights were invaluable, and we left more motivated than ever to continue helping K-12 development teams drive fundraising success. With FY25 already underway, we’re excited about the opportunities ahead and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together!

The Partners in Mission Summer Institute was such a great way to wrap up an incredible FY24! It was great to be able to connect with many of our partner Catholic Schools and meet so many trailblazers and leaders in mission-driven fundraising. We'd like to give a major shoutout to our friend David Erwin from Central Catholic High School and the whole advancement team at O'Dea High School for helping with our presentation on Data-Driven fundraising for Catholic K-12s.

This past April, our CEO, Holman Gao, presented alongside Andrea Brechtelsbauer, Director of Annual Giving Programs, and Amy Swegan, Director of Leadership Gifts at Western Reserve Academy, at the CASE District V and VI Conference. In their presentation, they discussed Reserve's incredible '50 Brilliant Years of Women' campaign and the lessons they learned while raising more than $1M for an endowed scholarship specifically for future female students. Here are a few tips and topics that they presented on 👇 1. How to secure and leverage leadership buy-in for an outside-of-the-box initiative. 👏 2.
