BOMA International would like to introduce Matt F. as our Emerging Professional of the Month for December! 🏢👨💼💼 Matt’s interest in real estate was ignited early on when he reviewed blueprints of residential homes with his mom, who works in the construction industry. Matt has great memories of visiting those construction sites with her and has gravitated towards opportunities that were behind the scenes ever since. Matt is now a Senior Property Manager at Cushman & Wakefield, where he is currently responsible for overseeing the Bunge Global Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. His involvement with BOMA began when his manager and former President of BOMA St. Louis Ellie Mills suggested he attend BOMA local events. Matt joined committees, co-hosted coffee talks, and recently became chair of the Emergency Preparedness Committee. Come 2025, Matt will be part of BOMA St. Louis Board of Directors. When Matt was awarded the J. Michael Coleman Scholarship in 2022, he became more involved at the International level: moderating his first webinar and the current co-chair for the Emerging Professionals Committee. “There will be moments of uncertainty, of getting outside your comfort zone and even hurdles that may be too big to overcome at that moment. All these types of experiences will build an incredible foundation for growth” says Matt. If you are new to the CRE industry and are interested in learning more about how BOMA International’s Emerging Professionals Committee can benefit your career, please reach out to EP@BOMA.org!

The construction industry contributes up to 10% of global CO2 emissions, but innovations like Concrete.AI are helping reduce both emissions and production costs—without compromising quality. Experts like Julie Hyson from JLL and Dennis McConnell, a seasoned home-building professional, recently shared their insights on how AI is reshaping the construction industry. Additionally, Mathieu Bauchy from Concrete.AI highlights that if AI technology were widely adopted, it could cut 500 million tons of CO2 emissions annually—equivalent to the emissions of France and Argentina combined! AI is not just improving concrete; it’s transforming the entire construction process, making the industry more sustainable and cost-efficient.
