LLAMA LOUNGE 15 (Official Techcrunch Disrupt partner) IS A WRAP! The Power Room: - 300 AI founders/CEOs - 73 Investors - 32 Corporate AI leaders - 10 demo companies - 1 conch shell Over 50% of the hundreds of founders flew in for Disrupt and attended the event, I gave a locals insights on how to get into the market (events, hot spots, strategy, expectations). Ten startups were pre-chosen to demo (50% were women founders), and yes, I kick off the event with the calling of the conch (seen above me in photo, and thanks for the laughs Brady, love that!) Thank you to GenLab Venture Studio (Brady F., Martha Denis, Daniel Riedel) and TechCrunch for partnering. #llamalounge #disrupt Photo by Erick Davidson

Thanks to Fedesoft Colombia for the invitation to join an outstanding panel at the #Softic2024 in the beautiful and welcoming city of Cali on the topic of AI and organizational productivity. I shared thoughts on AI agents and how they will change the very conception of productivity and described a chart developed by my Blitzscaling Ventures partner Jeremiah Owyang describing the emerging AI agent ecosystem that clearly opened many eyes as people began to grasp how near this agent empowered future truly is. william corredor shared a useful framework for enterprise AI implementation and entertained the audience by composing an #AI generated salsa tune from stage featuring lyrics about the conference. Chris Yeh delivered a keynote on Blitzscaling + AI that prompted great audience engagement and questions. In a surprise appearance, we were all delighted to meet and hear from HE Mauricio Lizcano, the distinguished Minister of Information Technologies and Communications of Colombia, and a visionary leader with a profound commitment to advancing digital innovation, about the many steps Colombia is taking to shape the digital landscape and position itself for competitiveness in the new era of #generativeai. Special thanks to the inspired and committed Fedesoft Colombia team for the warm welcome at was an an outstanding event! Ximena Duque Alzate Jennifer Heredia Tatiana Vargas Diana Porto

Blitzscaling and Paid Search. My two worlds. They align perfectly. As I was busily networking & connecting with investors & startups, I figured out how to connect digital marketing and founders & funders. And following Chris Yeh’s keynote at Jeremiah Owyang’s Step Conference in San Francisco last week, i finally got my own copy of the book and started to read. Reid Hoffman and Chris Yeh's book “Blitzscaling” blew me away. Here’s why: 1. Speed and Agility. Blitzscaling is about rapid growth. Paid search gives immediate visibility. Startups can capture market share fast. 2. Targeting Massive Markets. Blitzscaling works best in big markets. Paid search targets specific keywords and demographics. Reach large audiences efficiently. 3. Flexibility and Iteration. Blitzscaling involves quick changes. Paid search campaigns adjust in real-time. Test strategies and optimize based on performance. 4. Resource Allocation. Blitzscaling thrives with investment. Paid search offers cost control. Allocate resources efficiently while growing fast. 5. Competitive Advantage. Blitzscaling aims for market dominance. Paid search gives a competitive edge. Appear prominently in search results, even against big players. Paid search complements Blitzscaling. It provides the tools for rapid growth and market penetration. If you’re a startup or investor, read this book. DM me for your own copy! I’ll give away a copy each to the first 5 DMs I receive today. Can you tell I’m fired up? ♻️ Sharing is caring. A repost means a lot to me ♻️

So much truth to this. Going to events like this makes such a difference. It’s about being truly alive. When I heard that Jeremiah Owyang (and Ray Dargham) were masterminding the Step Conference SF, a startup/investor event around AI and featuring Chris Yeh, I knew I had to go. Especially with Serephina Ha and Anthony Gonzalez in attendance, who can say no to that? Did I miss you there Jordan Wahbeh? I left Santa Cruz bright and early at 6AM to arrive just in time for a client call right before the event. But the benefit of leaving that early was clear: Note to self: Great strategy. No traffic at all. Standing in line for my morning cappuccino at the event I knew this would be a memorable day. I got to chat with Danielh Carranza who runs a fascinating biotech startup. Next was the CEO Jiva Muthu, who is heading up a medical device startup in New Zealand. Compelling ideas, looking for funding as well as digital marketing. Then Jeremiah Owyang took the stage with his hyper-fashionable jacket and delved into the components of the AI TechStack and how it will completely change our world. The power shift is palpable and our concept of the funnel is going to be completely upended: Humans will rely on AI agents to make decisions and purchases. Businesses will need to influence buyer-side agents and launch sell-side agents. Websites will cease to exist as we know them. My next highlight was Chris Yeh covering the concepts of Blitzscaling. Yes, I finally got my copy of your (and Reid Hoffman’s) book! What really stood out for me was the main tenet of the Blitzscaling: The pursuit of rapid growth by prioritizing speed of efficiency in the face of uncertainty. I had the honor of having lunch with Nate Hughes, MPH, MPP, M. Phil. on the rooftop of 1 Beach Street with the most amazing view of San Francisco. So glad we got to chat about your own startup and some ideas around digital marketing. Then I had the pleasure of being able to sit with David Munir Nabti 🌻 and Nicholas Moore and I had one of the most energizing conversation about history, culture, the wealth inequalities of Silicon Valley, working in film production, you name it. Meeting human beings in person. Making decisions. Helping each other. That's what it's all about.
