You know the holidays are just around the corner when the BHMI Favorite Seasonal Treat Contest winner is announced! This marks the 23rd year of sharing confectionaries that have been awarded the BHMI Best seal of approval. The holiday spirit really comes alive when everyone joins together to share delicious, homemade treats. There was some fierce competition this year, but there can be only one BHMI Best! This year’s winner is Mike Maguire, BHMI Senior Design Analyst, with his Pecan Shortbread Cookies. Christmas cooking is a Maguire family tradition and Mike’s grandmother was always baking Christmas treats such as caramels, fudge, and peanut brittle. BHMI is both pleased and proud to share Mike’s recipe with you this holiday season. Mike has been a cornerstone of BHMI for almost four decades! From design and coding to testing and ongoing support, he’s worn every hat imaginable and helped shape BHMI into what it is today. Known for bringing unexpected humor to the office, Mike has kept us smiling or grimacing more times than we can count! When he’s not in the office, Mike is all about music. He plays piano weekly at his church and steps in for weddings and funerals whenever he’s needed. As he says, “Programming and making music share a surprising similarity—both require just as much artistry as technical know-how.” Mike and his high school sweetheart, Mary, have been together for 50 years and married happily for 44 years! They are the proud parents of four grown children and are delighted to have three adorable grandsons. The annual treat contest truly sets the tone for the holiday season. Congratulations again to Mike and all the amazing bakers who made this year’s competition a success. We invite you to explore Mike’s winning recipe along with 23 years of holiday winning treat recipes. Share these delicious creations with your loved ones and savor the festive season together. https://lnkd.in/gyBhusjj

Is your company seeking more flexibility and sophistication for the creation of transaction fee and commission structures? Billing systems are designed to handle invoicing and collect payments, but they are limited in their ability to help companies create new fees and commissions. On the other hand, rules-based fees engines allow companies that process payments to stay competitive and profitable, enabling them to offer new value-added services, develop creative incentive programs, create new revenue streams, and respond quickly to market shifts. Listen to today’s PaymentsJournal podcast with host Rimma Kats who talks with BHMI’s Chief Technology Officer Michael Meeks and Senior Program Director Cheryl Fitzgarrald, MBA, PMP, PMI-ACP, along with James Wester, Co-Head of Payments at Javelin Strategy & Research, about the advantages of rules-based fees engines and who benefits from them. https://lnkd.in/efZf9vqX #paymentsindustry #paymentsprocessing #paymentprocessingsoftware #paymentprocessingsolutions #transactionfees #paymentfees #feesandcommissions #paymentsnews #fintech #fintechnews #paytech #bhmi #concoursefinancialsoftware

Financial services companies such as payment service providers, #paymentnetworks, and #banks often struggle to remain agile and competitive in this rapidly changing world of #payments. And as the number of #electronicpayment options and transaction participants increases, #paymentprocessing companies are looking for new ways to stay competitive in this fiercely aggressive market. Some companies are overcoming this challenge by adopting configurable, rules-based solutions that support the assessment of any type of fee or commission on any combination of transaction data elements. When leveraging the right platform, a rules-based approach enables companies to quickly assess, assign, and modify any fee or commission via configuration rather than being held back by timely and expensive software code changes. This approach is enabling companies to be extremely agile and competitive. We invite you to read today’s article in #PaymentsNEXT by Jim Merchant, Senior Program Director at BHMI. In this article, Jim provides insights into the different types of transaction-based fees, the power of a rules-based approach, and some important things to consider. https://lnkd.in/gATP7NhD #Concourse #ConcourseFinancialSoftware #BHMI #paymentsindustry #paymentsnews #paymentsprocessing #paymentprocessingsoftware #paymentprocessingsolutions #paymentsoftware #paymentssoftware #fintech #fintechnews #paytech #financialservices #paymentnetwork
