Last week, the City of Hope held its annual Los Angeles Real Estate & Construction Council 'Spirit of Life' Gala, celebrating the tremendous work the City of Hope provides in the fight against cancer. Set against the backdrop of Ivy Station in Culver City, this year’s Gala deservedly honored Newmark Capital Markets’ Kevin Shannon and was a spectacle from start to finish. I had the distinct honor to introduce Kevin as the Spirit of Life award recipient and honoree at the conclusion of the evening. As always, gracious in his recognition and an example of what we all should focus on – giving back.
