After six years of his leadership and service, our President, Mike George, has decided to step away from his role to focus on his family. From Day 1, Mike has played a key role in shaping the organization we are today. While we’ll miss his daily presence and his larger-than-life personality, he won’t be far—we’ll continue to receive his valuable support and guidance in his new role as Chairman of the Board. We are grateful for the strong foundation Mike has helped us build and wish him the best in his new chapter. On October 14, Miguel Roque, Chief Operations and Technology Officer, will serve as our next President. As one of Bezos Academy’s first employees, Miguel has been working hand in hand with Mike from the very beginning, helping us grow from one preschool to 25 preschools across three states, serving over 1,600 students. We’re excited about what our future holds under Miguel’s leadership and can’t wait to share updates along the way.
