In 2023, Kosair for Kids, a nonprofit committed to children's health and well-being, pledged an unprecedented $5 million donation to support Mother & Baby Care services across Baptist Health's eight hospitals in Kentucky and southern Indiana. This historic philanthropic contribution, the largest in Baptist Health Foundation's history, will fund essential equipment and physician-led initiatives to enhance pediatric services. The impact of this gift will be commemorated through our hospitals' first-ever service naming: 'Baptist Health Mother & Baby Care supported by Kosair for Kids.' Beyond recognition, every mother and child receiving care—from pregnancy through postpartum—will directly benefit from Kosair for Kids' transformative support, ensuring they receive tailored and compassionate care that meets their unique needs. This partnership exemplifies how philanthropy can truly change lives and elevate healthcare standards within our communities. https://lnkd.in/eCivTKDa

Baptist Health Floyd celebrated a major milestone yesterday as President Mike Schroyer and members of the leadership team officially cut the ribbon on seven new state-of-the-art operating rooms. With this addition, the hospital now has 13 operating and procedure rooms, enhancing its capacity to serve the community. This achievement marks the completion of phase three of an ongoing $65 million construction project aimed at expanding and modernizing healthcare facilities. On average, Baptist Health Floyd performs 12,000 surgeries each year, and these new operating rooms will further support the hospital's commitment to providing exceptional care.

Tony Pelaski's journey underscores the profound impact of proactive healthcare and the pivotal role it plays in saving lives. Initially recommended a calcium scan by his doctor, Tony had no idea it would uncover a serious threat lurking within his arteries—a ticking time bomb that could jeopardize his heart's health. Armed with this critical information, Tony and his healthcare team swiftly intervened, leading to a transformative journey from diagnosis to triple bypass surgery. His experience highlights not just a medical narrative, but a testament to the life-changing impact of compassionate care and the critical importance of early intervention in preserving health and well-being. https://bit.ly/40zVePz

The pavilion features a comprehensive cancer center, 12 advanced surgical suites (including a hybrid OR), three cutting-edge cath labs, and specialties such as cardiology, pulmonary care, general surgery, urology, vascular care, wound care, and diagnostic services—all in one location. Patients can now access multiple healthcare services seamlessly.
