PANDA (People Acting Now Discover Answers) supports discovery processes to improve treatments and cures for devastating childhood diseases. Since 1999, PANDA's board of volunteers (no salaries of paid execs) has raised more than $35 million to fuel pediatric medical research at the Steele Children's Research Center. PANDA's impact has led to medical discoveries, hope for children and their families, and seeding more than $120 million in grant funding.

Our founders, newest PANDAS, and Goldens enjoyed an inspiring day filled with presentations and hands-on demonstrations at Steele Research Center led by the researchers & scientists that PANDA supports. A huge thank you to Stacy Medeiros and Ashley Gain for organizing a memorable and motivational trip to see first hand how PANDA’S mission is fueling cutting edge pediatric research. We’re incredibly grateful for the chance to personally deliver 🐼 bears to patients & their siblings. We cannot wait to visit again soon!

PANDA Core for Genomics and Microbiome Research at University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson is the first #NGS diagnostic laboratory based in Arizona offering Whole Genome Sequencing #WGS, Whole Exome Sequencing #WES, and gene panels (pandacore.arizona.edu). 🎉 The Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) awarded accreditation to our laboratory at PANDA Core for Genomics and Microbiome Research based on results of a recent on-site inspection conducted by CAP inspectors 🎉 . This accomplishment is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing accurate, reliable, and internationally recognized genetic testing services for our patients.
