I’m excited to share that SPEAX by Ataia Medical was recently featured in a feature article in AACN (American Association of Critical-Care Nurses) Critical Care Nurse! The article highlights how this assistive communication device can be used during pediatric noninvasive ventilation to help patients communicate more effectively, improve NIV compliance, and anecdotal evidence towards reduced sedation in a 7-year-old girl with respiratory failure and pulmonary hypertension. It’s inspiring to see innovations like SPEAX integrated into bedside care, addressing the unique challenges patients and clinicians face in critical care settings, and impacting care delivered to patients today. Improving communication is a vital step toward more compassionate and patient-centered care, and it’s encouraging to see this work prominently recognized in the scientific community! 📖 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eYu2KEMH Congratulations to the authors: Emily Otto, Ashley Danaher Kaspar, Keith Kerr, Gayle Droemer, and Allison Waddle! #CriticalCare #AssistiveTechnology #Pediatrics #PatientCare #NursingInnovation #CriticalCareNurse #Communication #NIV #NoninvasiveVentilation
