    Vice President, Mission Delivery

This Thanksgiving season, I find myself reflecting on the many reasons to be grateful—and this year, I am particularly thankful for the incredible community of oncology social workers who have submitted abstracts for the 2025 AOSW Annual Meeting & Conference. Having just completed the abstract review process, I am beyond excited by the diverse and inspiring mix of submissions we’ve received. From cutting-edge research to hands-on workshops and personal experiences, it’s clear that the passion and dedication of our field are alive and well. The energy and enthusiasm that each of you has put into your proposals is already shaping up to be a key ingredient in making our upcoming conference a truly exceptional event. Whether you’re presenting new insights from your clinical practice, sharing innovative ideas for patient support, or offering strategies for professional development, your contributions are invaluable. Your willingness to volunteer your time and knowledge to help advance the field of oncology social work speaks volumes about your commitment to not only your own growth but to the growth of the entire profession. This year’s conference promises to be a special one, and it’s because of YOU—our presenters, our colleagues, our thought leaders—that we are building an event that reflects the passion, expertise, and spirit of collaboration that define our community. I am excited to see how these abstracts will come to life in Atlanta, and I know that the sessions, discussions, and connections made at the conference will set the stage for even greater things to come. Thank you once again for your dedication, your contributions, and your ongoing commitment to excellence. Your involvement is the heart of what makes the AOSW Annual Meeting & Conference such a powerful and transformative experience. Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with joy, reflection, and connection.
