The Allen & Major Associates, Inc. team is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm dedicated to the practices of civil engineering, environmental consulting, land survey, and landscape architecture. Our work is an integral part of site development and we use our skills to optimize performance and site functionality. We have been successful at what we do for almost five decades because we understand the value-add of renovation or re-development in the real estate market. We form real and lasting partnerships with our clients as well as work collaboratively with design teams, architects, construction management firms, land use attorneys, and local/State/Federal regulators. Our clients include Fortune 500 companies, private developers, government entities, local municipalities, and leading organizations. We have offices in Woburn MA, Lakeville MA, and Manchester NH, which allows us to provide services throughout the Northeast corridor. Our design approach is rooted in a strong belief that blending the built environment with the natural environment it surrounds makes the development process less encumbered. By utilizing the features that make a site unique, rather than altering them, we can produce responsible, appealing designs that meet the needs of the communities we serve. Court Square is coming together beautifully. Over the past few weeks, the construction fence has been adjusted to allow the public back into park areas. It’s been a great collaboration with Copley Wolff and the City of Springfield, Massachusetts DPW. Mountain View Landscapes has executed the vision masterfully, and there’s still more to come in the new year! Fun Fact: Court Square is the City of Springfield's only topographical constant since its founding in 1636!

Congratulations to National Development and the rest of the development team on completing 586 Manley Street. A&M civil engineering and landscape architectural teams specifically PM Paul Matos, PE, PLS, Philip Cordeiro, P.E., Joseph Sanda, and Beth Dermody supported the project from conceptual planning to permitting and through construction.
We are pleased to announce the completion of 586 Manley Street, a state-of-the-art 210,600 SF Class A logistics, warehouse and distribution facility located in West Bridgewater, MA. Wright-Ryan Construction, Inc. continues to work on the renovation project at Hetzel Hall at the UNH campus in Durham. Walkways and ADA accessibility improvements will provide ease of access. Pedestrian pathways between the courtyards and a rooftop deck patio are almost complete. The use of granite for steps and seat walls in the front of the building echoes back to the building’s history while the playful and modern design improvements by Lavallee Brensinger Architects make it current and inviting. Landscape Architecture is being led by A&M's Beth Dermody.

From life-size samples to real-time installation. The installation of the Natural Stone Wall Solutions walls is well underway at Wellesley Country Club. The walls are a patented lean process of building and seamlessly installing natural stone walls almost instantly. The A&M team successfully secured approvals through the Planning Board and Conservation Commission for one of the largest MBTA Communities Village Overlay developments to date in Lexington. Congratulations to Cabot, Cabot & Forbes, and the rest of the development team.
We are excited to announce that our proposed project at 331 Concord Ave in Lexington has received Site Plan Approval from the Lexington Planning Board for the construction of 200 new residential units. This project will provide much needed multifamily housing to the Greater Boston area under Lexington's approved MBTA Communities Village Overlay District Zoning. In addition to housing, this development will include a new commercial space, a publicly accessible plaza, gazebo and play area along Concord Ave, significant improvements to stormwater management systems in the area, and a variety of residential amenities. We'd like to thank the Town of Lexington and neighborhood stakeholders for closely collaborating with the project team to provide a new and diverse housing product to the region and look forward to continuing our work together through design, construction and beyond. A&M has completed its work on Broadstone’s The 305 Apartments, a 314-unit multifamily residence in Waltham. Permitting included 40B Comprehensive Permit, Remediation General Permit Notice of Intent (NOI), NPDES, City of Waltham, Inflow & Infiltration permit. Extensive landscape considerations included amenity-heavy design. Features include an interior courtyard area that sits on the garage deck and features a green roof patio area, putting green, and lawn games. A ground-floor amenity area that includes a zero-entry pool, cabanas, outdoor kitchens, dining areas, a lounge spot with an exterior fireplace/TV, a dog area, and a kid's zone play area.
