Earlier this month our latest AEC Audiophile Music Club convened in AKRF's PinDrop acoustical rendering suite for music, refreshments, camaraderie, and sonic bliss in one of the quietest rooms in New York City with optimal audio and acoustics. Our theme: 4/4 No More! While the 4/4 time signature is a regular and simple beat pattern widely used in most forms of popular Western music, musicians of all genres—from esoteric to mainstream—have been experimenting with odd time signatures. For this session's theme we celebrated songs that embrace a time signature other than 4/4 at some point within their song's composition. Last week marked a major milestone for the new Portal North Bridge, which will improve daily travel for New Jersey rail commuters. AKRF led the preparation of the NEPA Environmental Impact Statement, secured the environmental permits, and contributed to all planning, design and engineering phases of the project.
Today, Kevin Corbett was joined by FTA Region 2 Regional Administrator Michael Culotta and other stakeholders at the new Portal North Bridge. The first of the bridge’s 3 massive arches has arrived and been lifted into position, bringing the project a giant leap closer to completion. https://bit.ly/3AQxDjs
