In November our #missioncritical experts from Dallas, TX hosted the renowned #STOMissionCritical Training Program for prospective #datacenter teams. A great time collaborating and learning with members of Structure Tone Southwest and Hill International, Inc. through additional insights from our partners at Adaptive Commissioning Solutions, Cummins Inc., and Texas Air Products. #STOBGProud #WeBuildtheFuture

  • Empathy is a critical quality that can significantly enhance the commissioning services to an owner. This is especially important when it comes to working in the field with a general contractor. Commissioning, which involves ensuring that a building's systems are designed, installed, and operated effectively and efficiently, benefits from an empathetic approach in several ways: Understanding Owner's Goals: Empathy allows commissioning professionals to deeply understand the owner's objectives, needs, and expectations. By putting themselves in the owner's shoes, they can align their efforts with the owner's vision for the project. Tailored Solutions: Empathetic commissioning professionals can customize their services to meet the specific requirements and preferences of the owner. This approach results in a more personalized and effective commissioning process. Effective Communication: Empathy fosters effective communication between the commissioning team and the owner. It helps in actively listening to the owner's concerns, addressing their questions, and ensuring that they are informed and comfortable throughout the project. Problem Solving: An empathetic approach allows commissioning professionals to anticipate potential issues and challenges from the owner's perspective. This proactive mindset helps in identifying and resolving problems before they become major obstacles. Collaboration: Empathy promotes collaboration between the commissioning team, the owner, and other project stakeholders. It encourages a spirit of cooperation, where everyone works together to achieve the owner's goals. Advocacy: An empathetic commissioning team serves as the owner's advocate, ensuring that their best interests are at the forefront of all decisions. This includes representing the owner's concerns and requirements with contractors and other project participants. Delivering Value: By understanding the owner's business objectives and financial constraints, an empathetic commissioning team can find cost-effective solutions that deliver value while staying within budget. Long-Term Relationship: Building a trusting and empathetic relationship with the owner can extend beyond the commissioning phase. It can lead to long-term partnerships, with the commissioning team providing ongoing support for the building's performance and maintenance. In summary, empathy IS something that a good commissioning agent has. The commissioning agent does not have to be a stern checklist stickler. Have a better quality of commissioning for the team and the project. #beadaptive #commissioning #letsgo

  • We're thrilled to see another project completed for Adaptive Commissioning Solutions! We've successfully completed commissioning functional testing for the Cook Children's Prosper Level 4 finish out, alongside the invaluable collaboration of Stevi Alexander with Cook Children's Health Care System and Linbeck Group, LLC. • Collaboration between Commissioning Agents and MEP Teams In the dynamic world of construction projects, collaboration is key to delivering exceptional results for project owners. Commissioning agents and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams, when working hand-in-hand, can take projects to a whole new level of excellence. When commissioning agents collaborate effectively with MEP teams, the project benefits from a seamless fusion of expertise. MEP teams bring their technical prowess, understanding of systems, and in-field experience. Meanwhile, commissioning agents ensure that these systems align with project goals, are fully functional, and meet the owner's expectations. MEP teams play a crucial role in supporting commissioning agents during the construction phase of a project. They collaborate with commissioning agents to provide insights into the technical aspects, system functionalities, and intricacies of the MEP systems. This helps commissioning agents understand the system's design intent for effective testing and validation. During the commissioning phase, commissioning agents collaborate with MEP teams to conduct thorough functional testing of all the systems. MEP teams assist in providing real-time data and feedback to validate their performance. This collaboration ensures that all MEP systems function as intended and meet the project requirements. Exceptional MEP teams actively participate in identifying and troubleshooting any issues or discrepancies that arise during functional testing. They work alongside commissioning agents to diagnose problems, propose solutions, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and compliance with project standards. Now, place lean processes in with the MEP coordination. Create pull plan meetings, help the MEP team understand how they can place their knowledge into the construction team to meet goals in the field and provide and better and faster goal to the project. Integrating lean processes into commissioning takes efficiency and quality to the next level. Lean methodologies promote a systematic approach, minimizing waste, optimizing resources, and enhancing productivity. By eliminating unnecessary steps and focusing on value-added activities, commissioning agents can streamline the process, saving time and resources. In the coming months ACS will be help people to understand the new LEAN approach to commissioning and how it can be effective in helping to reshape the industry. Together, we build a better future! #beadaptive #Commissioning #CxReady #CollaborativeExcellence #LeanProcesses #letsgo
