About us
The Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) is in an exciting period of growth to better realize a bright future for local students! Join our team as we reimagine services to more holistically support students and erase the predetermination of failure for children, especially Alameda County’s most marginalized youth. ACOE directly educates and supports students at six school sites who are justice-involved, expelled, pregnant and parenting teens, foster or homeless youth, infants with special needs, and other students who are not being served by schools. We also provide support to over 215,000 students and 12,000 teachers across 18 school districts. ACOE leads with a student-centered vision, innovating in the classroom and building safe and supportive community schools. We collaborate and partner with local, county, and state agencies to address challenges students face. We are looking for individuals who can enact an equitable vision for public education, changing outcomes for the most vulnerable students. The State Transformational Assistance Center (S-TAC) visited Anaheim Union Community Schools for a Leading and Learning lab to gain a better perspective of the community schools implementation, as part of the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP). The Leading and Learning Lab was a one-day immersive experience hosted by Anaheim Union Community Schools. It was designed to provide educators and school leaders with valuable insights into critical strategies and partnerships.
