Last week, ACL coordinated a convening of Hawaii’s aging and disability grantees. The convening was part of an HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response recovery mission to learn more about recovery efforts following the Maui wildfire. The grantees, including the Hawaii Executive Office on Aging, Maui County Office on Aging, Hawaii Statewide Independent Living Council, and Assistive Technology Resource Centers of Hawaii, shared insight regarding their emergency recovery experience and long-term recovery needs.
