Announcing the AAN Publishers Revenue Recovery Fund... Can you help us help our members in Western North Carolina? https://lnkd.in/gMPYN_HE Mountain XPress and Smoky Mountain News are two publications in Western North Carolina whose advertising revenues have been decimated by the closure of local businesses and organizations due to widespread water and electrical outages. With state and federal relief efforts ongoing, we ask that everyone donate to the fund and promote it as widely as possible to help these publications continue serving their communities and supporting their staff members and families during this crisis. At our annual convention earlier in July, the board of directors of AAN Publishers revealed a new name for our Lifetime Achievement Award and awarded it posthumously to its namesake, John Heaston. Here's the video of the dedication of the John William Heaston Lifetime Achievement Award from our awards luncheon in Charleston, S.C.
