Congratulations 100 Women In Finance on a decade FundWomen and thank you for all you do to support and spotlight female fund managers. I enjoyed speaking with Caroline Gillespie Greer, Geeta Kapadia, CFA and Shoaib Khan, CFA, CPA about how they are moving the needle at their plans. A beautiful celebration today at the NYSE of the 10-year anniversary of 100 Women in Finance’s FundWomen initiative. The event was a platform for leadership discussions, dynamic panels, and engaging table topics, marking a decade of driving change, breaking barriers, and championing women in finance. Over the past 10 years, FundWomen has empowered countless women-led and women-focused funds, building a stronger pipeline of diverse talent in the industry. Through the FundWomen initiative and Global FundWomen Week (“GFWW”), 100WF has forged partnerships and highlighted the success stories of women who continue to redefine finance. Among these wins are the connections made between investors and female fund managers, creating tangible opportunities having a direct impact on advancing Vision 30/40. This milestone would not have been possible without the support of our incredible  volunteers, sponsors, partners, the 100WF Global Association Board, and 100WF team. 100WF is excited to announce that the next GFWW will take place on December 9-12, 2025, with an in-person event in New York City on December 11, 2025. Last month, our Germany MidCareer Committee hosted the workshop "Unleash Your Confident, Authentic and Inspiring Leadership Presence" at Allianz Global Investors in Frankfurt. Led by Ulrike O'Connor and Karin Schönfelder from Mojo Coaching , the session attracted around 50 women from Allianz Global Investors and the broader 100 Women In Finance network. After a brief introduction by Jennifer Nerlich, CFA, CESGA, the workshop began with an insightful presentation on leadership presence, including practical exercises to help participants reflect on what it means to truly embody leadership. The workshop included journaling, partner interactions, and centering exercises, providing a fresh perspective on personal presence and help to reflect on self-awareness. The evening concluded with a well-attended networking event, fostering further discussions among the engaged and dynamic women. Thank you to our Australia Committee for organizing "Corporate Engagement: An Insider’s View" in both Sydney and Melbourne in late November. The audiences at both locations were highly engaged, extending the sessions with their insightful questions. One of the key benefits of corporate engagement is the ability to make better investment decisions. Other takeaways included: ✦ Engagement should not be off the balance sheet. Organisations should not underestimate questions about your ESG policy in RFPs. Companies that are proactive can stay ahead of regulatory pressures. ✦ When engaging, understand the company’s challenges and goals. Avoid “reporting fatigue” by asking for meaningful disclosures that align with outcomes. While some engagement can be one off, some may take years to reach the outcome. Aim for a collaborative engagement. ✦ Engagement helps companies recognize that a commitment to sustainable ESG practices is imperative—not only to meet shareholder expectations but also to strengthen the business itself. ESG serves as a proxy for management quality, encouraging companies to embrace transparency and foster a win-win outcome. ✦ Small caps and family-owned businesses may require more direct access and guidance to adopt best practices. Aim to get access to decision makers. ✦ In Europe regulations are moving towards embedding sustainability in the supply chain. On November 19th in New York, the 100 Women In Finance Early Career Committee organized a panel discussion "Set Yourself Up for Success at Your Year-end Review" for members and industry colleagues. The conversation featured actionable insights on how to prepare for year-end conversations, tips and tricks to utilize during the meeting and guidance on how to position yourself for success in the year to come. The panel was followed by a networking reception allowing attendees to forge new connections and talk about this important, timely topic.
