Stake holder management : Devil is in details as each of them have their own lens 1) Know and understand how success of the change looks like to stakeholders 2) Find how they measure the success 3) Find how much risk they can bet on 4) Be candid and tell them what u cant forsee - let them know how turbulence will feel like 5) Keep them informed of good and especially the bad news 6) Keep their eyesight on the vision and the larger goal 7) Make early win and ensure you have > than 60% change in first round ( 30-60-90 ) day

One thing I’ve always found helpful is to execute effective stakeholder management on any change projects. Now, the way we should go about it after identifying key stakeholders/groups: 1. Conduct 1-0-1 connect with key stakeholders and/or FGDs with key stakeholder groups to understand their expectations not only from output perspective but from outcome (behavior change) perspectives as well. 2. Analyze gaps between the expected and perceived outcomes, along with stakeholder mapping. 3. Develop & implement stakeholder engagement action plan based on the gaps. The secret is to look at the key 2-3 themes and focus on getting it right ASAP to ensure that majority of the key stakeholders are aligned. This is where robust change story helps.

1st thing to set up a right expectation from the beginning is most important 2nd - You must communicate progress, blockers, timelines to all the stakeholders engaged and make sure all are on same page. 3rd - It's connected to point 2, you must have stakeholders meeting on regular intervals, Respect the inputs from them and share action plan or feedback 4th - Add all stakeholders while taking the decisions 5th - Document the promises you made, Stakeholder must trust you :-)

All methodologies mentioned can be successful. Having a stakeholder map to begin the project is, of course, essential, but we rarely get it completely correct at the beginning. How we communicate progress and accept those we didn't realize were stakeholders at the beginning of the project is the key to success. Sometimes we need to have a humbleness of attitude and willingness to listen to those we overlooked to bring them onboard. Our natural attitude is to be defensive and upset over the extra effort required to catch them up. Expand the circle, communicate often and treat all as partners in a successful project. Say thank you often.
