The best way to understand which platform to select for branding is through its quality inputs given by people. Quality input cannot be determined by certain criteria such as, 1. Quality feedback 2. Platform being user friendly 3. Number of visitors 4. What crowd it attracts i.e., knowledge criteria. 5. How much people trust the platform.

Don’t forget to assess the cost-effectiveness of each platform. By calculating the ROI for each channel, you can identify which ones deliver the highest return and allocate your resources more efficiently.

(edited)I'd reframe this question as it fundamentally misunderstanding the process of brand development. If by 'juggling multiple platforms' you mean you can't decide what your brand stands for, do more research on the propositions and test with consumers as much as you can to hone that. If you mean you can't decide whether to post on Insta or TikTok first, go for what you are set up to do most efficiently. C'mon AI, do better.

Knowing who your brand is is for will in part determine which platforms are worth chasing. although monitoring the numbers is important, the quality of engagement is a better way to gage success on individual platforms

For me I would only consider my brand to be on those platforms that have good footfall and quality engagement. Also by engagement, I have to be 100% sure that the platform has the similar chatter that my brand wants. But not the least whether as a brand we are vibing in the platform, what other opportunities and reach we can expect from the platform all these matter a lot for choosing a platform.
