When I faced a similar situation, I acknowledged the concern and thanked the individual for raising it. I asked questions to better understand their perspective, then explained the importance of diversity in fostering creativity and problem-solving. I reassured them that all team members were chosen based on their skills and qualifications, emphasising that diversity enhances performance. I addressed any biases tactfully and highlighted the organisation’s commitment to inclusivity.
