If they are not thoroughly briefed on the impact, then they will expect the same or similar timelines and budgets and get reasonably upset when these are not met. With that in mind: 1. Ensure everyone understands why the changes were made and how we are addressing the cause of these scope changes in the future. 2. Refactor the SOW and project plan to ensure new timelines and budgets are accounted for and stakeholders understand the impact of the changes. 3. Inform the team of the impact and address the pros and cons of the changes and how this will affect expectations from the team moving forward.
