It's another opportunity to enhance my portfolio. Begin with some open communication. Work through the reasons as to why said task may feel uncomfortable, and find compromise or even encouragement. When projects have come up that I found uncomfortable, I worked through internal emotion and built up internal encouragement as I know the ask would benefit my abilities and career.

Trust that if your manager has entrusted you with an assignment that expects you to stretch your limits, s/he has seen the potential in you and believes you can. This belief is the primary source of your energy that sparks off a can-do attitude. This in turn generates thoughts about the course of action you need to take. When you visualise how your action will impact the stakeholders, the mental imagery becomes sharper and stronger. The consequent feelings will inspire action. Before you know it, you have reached your destination.
