Review the proposed changes and provide pros and cons to that perspective. How long has that messaging been attached to that brand? There's alot that goes into an overhaul then just kicking around a few statements and images.... I completely agree with the above approach. I would add that you need to start and end with the core values that sparked the concept of the brand. As it matures, those core values need to continue to speak to the consumer. The approach can evolve with the changes of the times and the audience it addresses. As long as the core values remain at the center throughout each evolution, the brand will thrive. If that is lost in translation, the brand can lose its footing.
