To truly add value with Process automations, we must ask 2 questions - 1. What is the business problem we're solving? - This is important to keep us grounded. It's easy to get carried away and propose fancy technologies as solutions, but at the end of the day if it doesn't solve a problem, it's not useful. 2. What is the impact the automation solution will have? - Estimate the time and $ the automation solution is expected to consume and compare it against the existing manual process (If there isn't an existing process, take an estimation)

Completely in agreement as these days we have a lot of Digitalization and automated processes in place but the actual purpose and business need is not aligned or even the people awareness towards the outcome by using these tools is not up to the mark. What becomes more critical here is that we must identify the unproductive activities where people waste time to share or escalate things rather not using the system based alarms on the critical milestones defined in system . Many a times we keep on sharing the work not done to the stakeholders in supply chain which should not be the way of doing work, our automated processes and the automated escalation system as defined will help resources to work only on the areas where focus is needed.

I feel this lays a good foundation for all the other action steps that follow. * Measuring success - Once you've identified the objective, you can measure the value by its outcome. * Stakeholder feedback - I always like to gather feedback from my peers and the wider teams on what they think about automating something that is a common denominator. * Documenting it - This is a common mistake that most us make, and that is to not document the process to automate something. This actually can be a crucial part during troubleshooting a major incident for example.

As ferramentas de acolhimento, inteligência emocional deveriam estar caminhando a um passo a frente dessas metodologias lógicas. Afinal fizemos coisas para pessoas e ainda usamos pessoas para fazer boa parte dessas coisas.
