The rule of thumb is to share one idea ten ways. Let's say I write an article, "Ten Words to Remove from your Resume Immediately." Here are eleven ways I can share that advice: 1) An article on my blog or LinkedIn 2) A podcast 3) A TikTok video 4) A quiz 5) A downloadable Cheat Sheet 6) A LinkedIn post: "Which standard resume phrase is the worst?" 7) A live event on YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, Twitch etc. 8) A video course 9) A checklist: Does your resume include these done-to-death phrases? 10) A splashy graphic posted on social media 11) Ten or fifteen extra posts made up of video clips and excerpts from the article. If you're growing your thought leadership flame and reach, let me know. I may be able to share suggestions.

In my view thought leadership at times may seem boring, as you would have one mantra and need to keep repeating the same. Albeit to a different audience and a different social media platform, consistently over a period of time. Building stories around it, and advocating the same mantra, with personal passion and conviction and repeatedly. When I was running the decarbonisation road map for India, and repeated and fine tuned my story for over a decade, surprisingly every time the audience was awed and inspired. It’s simply because in an over dose of data out there, people only grasp it over a period of time. Hence repeat repeat and repeat, in interesting ways, in different channels and different media formats.

I think startups can get a lot more mileage out of their content by repurposing smartly. Here are some strategies I often recommend: 1. Turn blogs into bite-sized posts – A long article can fuel weeks of social media. Break it into actionable tips. 2. Visual storytelling – Charts, infographics, or short videos can make dense data much more digestible. 3. Embrace multiple formats – A webinar can become a podcast, blog, and Instagram story. 4. Focus on audience pain points – Adapt content to address unique needs on each platform. In my experience, it’s all about meeting your audience where they are—efficiently. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these!

To maximize the reach of diverse content, identify its core message and tailor it to suit various platforms and formats, such as turning a blog post into an infographic, video, or social media carousel. Leverage audience insights to determine which content formats perform best on each platform, optimizing for engagement and shareability. Consistently update and refresh high-performing content with new data or perspectives to maintain relevance and extend its lifecycle.
-
Stretch the value of your content across platforms with these strategies: -Adapt for Different Formats: Turn blogs into social media posts, infographics, or video explainers tailored to each platform's audience. -Segment for Target Audiences: Break long-form content into smaller, focused pieces addressing specific pain points for varied demographics. -Update and Reshare: Refresh evergreen content with updated insights or data and reintroduce it to new audiences. Repurposing ensures your message stays relevant and reaches wider audiences.

In my opinion, repurposing content is a great way to maximize its reach and engage different audiences by converting written content into engaging videos/ animated summaries using visually appealing infographics into bite-sized pieces for social media. It is recommended to share repurposed content through webinars for real-time interaction with our audience using presentations for educational or business-related content. If we share success stories or user experiences, turn them into detailed case studies or testimonials to build credibility and trust. Creating quizzes, polls based on our content can increase engagement and provide a more immersive experience for our audience.

1. Turn detailed blog posts into short, engaging video summaries. Use visuals, animations, and voiceovers to make the content more appealing. 2. Convert instructional blog posts into step-by-step video tutorials. This attracts viewers who prefer visual learning. 3. Summarize key points from webinars into blog posts. Highlight the main takeaways and include quotes or insights from speakers. 4. Transcribe the webinar and edit it into a comprehensive article. This provides an alternative format. 5. Create infographics that summarize the main points of your articles. 6. Extract impactful quotes from your content and turn them into shareable graphics for social media. 7. Combine several related blog posts into a comprehensive ebook or guide.
-
To maximize the impact of diverse content, we must think beyond distribution and embrace transformation. Content is dynamic, evolving to meet audiences where they are. By focusing on the core insight that transcends formats, we can reimagine its delivery, blogs can transform into videos, podcasts, or social media posts, while older ideas can be revitalized as e-books or whitepapers. Guided by analytics, we refine our approach to resonate where it matters most. Collaboration, through user-generated content or interactive formats, deepens engagement and extends reach. Repurposing isn’t merely efficient; it’s a creative process that ensures our vision endures and our ideas leave a lasting impact.

FAQs to Live Q&A: Conduct live sessions on Facebook Live. 5. Blogs to Courses: Turn blog series into Teachable courses. 6. Opinions to Panels: Host discussion panels via Zoom. 7. Reports to Videos: Craft quick videos for TikTok or Instagram Reels. Tailor content to audience and platform for best results.

By thoughtfully repurposing your content across different platforms and formats, you can expand your reach and strengthen your authority as a thought leader in your industry. Understand Your Audience: Customize each piece of repurposed content to fit the platform and audience you're addressing (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, or YouTube). Ensure Consistency: Keep your core message consistent across all content, while tailoring it to suit the specific format or medium.
