I have very good experience in forming an internal “tiger team” to discover new, disruptive technologies. This team needs the right mindset, a cross functional mix (from UX design to product, tech development and data engineering / data science) and a good balance of experience! Timing for discovery can vary from 3-12 months. Set ambitious targets but give accountability on the how to the team. Review milestones at least every three sprints for continuous learning and communication! This team will become the advocate of the new technologies and you build internal capabilities as starting point to scale usage across your product and engineering group!
