Anyone having dealt with multi team projects would have faced at least one instance where certain deliverable or phase of project is blocked due to inter team dependencies. What I usually did when faced with such situations on my project was to talk to concerned team & understand reasons for their delay. Based on it, either I offered them assistance with a workaround if it was something within our skillsets or domain or escalated it to get immediate attention & assistance. In the meantime, I looked at other non-dependent activities doable by my project team & focused on completing them. I discussed with team for options & alternatives. I spoke to our stakeholders about delay & even sought possibility for time extension or change in scope.
