How do you work with your quality control team to ensure manufacturing success?

Sure... Key responsibilities should be shared with each person of team. It will help to prevent ignorance issues between two person, because they know their responsibilities. Do daily or weekly short meetings where each person give their perspective against quality issues and feel comfortable for any doubts.

We're all on the same team to ship product and bring in revenue for the company. Not every part is perfect. QA helps assess the risk of those imperfections so that the whole team can collectively decide to take that risk and ship the parts or not.

Here are some questions my team often ask when things are not black and white. 1) What is the non-conformance and where is the requirement that shows that? 2) Is this a quality issue or a engineering issue? 3) What subject matter experts need to weigh in on this to better make a decision? 4) What is the customers stance on this issue?

For making the manufacturing successful, the quality control team is very important. One needs to have a one to one meeting with the team for discussing the problems associated with the actual work area and try to find the corrective and preventive actions in a discussion. The team members should be given an open forum for free discussion. Also, there has to be a system in place for regular internal audits for products, documentations, and personnels.The required SOPs and documentations should be updated time to time. Personnel should be updated with any change in regulatory norms or policies for manufacturing. The equipments used in manufacturing should be regularly validated and calibrated along with documentation for everything.

The SCD source control drawing needs to be heavily scrutinized with the suppliers drawing to ensure that the requirements are flown down and to mitigate potential issues. First Article Inspection FAI should be performed depending on the manufacturer or industry.

It's an important topic to discuss because training and gap analysis can make things easier to understand. Awareness of latest product's specifications and their respective standards are necessary to keep in mind during quality activities.

I believe to foster a culture of quality we should follow few steps: -lead by example -communicate the importance of quality -provide the training and resources needed -encourage continuous self reflection and hence improvement -involve all the team in decision-making -recognize setbacks and the same time reward quality -encourage collaboration and teamwork -seek customer feedback -regularly monitor and evaluate

Quality is joke i think bcz everyone hate quality asking production team they always ask they're handling both them self production and quality that's the reputation of quality on production but as a I'm quality inspector I'm always told my self 1st discipline is the best key of quality everyone going jealous to maintain ur sovereignty but that's how we work to for hard to maintain relationships between production, quality, management team as well as coustomer.
