Don't open a highway with 25 take diversions and closed roads in between. This will spoil the driving experience of even for the good & expert drivers. Also, don't expect the drivers to help you in highway building, they are not capable-off. IT project is after all an automation of manual or semi manual business transactions process. Idea is to bringing all data into one source. Firstly the solution has to be 100% ready for the end- user business needs. Endless customisation is the biggest roadblock for the end users resentment and frustration. System readiness ----> Training ----> Data Migtation ---> Go-Live

End user effective communication is key to success of ERP training. From my experience of global implementations, some of the things that works are below 1. Effective Documentation - Visual diagrams, step by step guides, One pager guides etc. 2. Simplistic Language - User training documentation should use normal English words rather than ERP Jargons. Every training document should focus on solution to end user problem. 3. Demos- For effective communication, system demonstrations with screen shots are necessary. 4. Hands on training- Effective communication can be achieved only via hands on training. 5. Continuous Feedback- At each crucial point, live feedback should be encouraged to increase user participation. 6. Small Audience sessions.
