For facilitating a large virtual meetings, 1) Have a clear meeting Agenda with the timeboxing for all the contents to be discussed. 2) Ensure the presence of speakers, cospeakers and presenters in the meeting. 3) Make sure the environments, Servers and Apis are working fine and keep the Network support team informed that we may require their help anytime throughout the meeting and have one spoc dedicatedly allocated to assist you. 4) Incorporate interactive elements in to your presentation. 5) Have breakout rooms and frequently engage participants for team activities or group discussions. 6) Use Digital Facilitation tools such as Google forms, survey tools and online communication tools whenever necessary. 7) Use simple icebreakers

Engaging everyone in large virtual meetings can be challenging, but with the right facilitation techniques, it's possible to create an inclusive and interactive environment. One technique I rely on is breaking the group into smaller breakout sessions. This allows participants to engage more intimately, share their thoughts, and contribute without feeling overwhelmed by the size of the group. Afterward, I bring everyone back together to share insights, which helps keep the larger group connected and engaged. I also use interactive tools like polls, Q&A sessions, and chat discussions to keep energy levels high. Asking open-ended questions and inviting participation through the chat box can prompt quieter individuals to contribute.

In my virtual facilitation, I speak directly to the audience and engage them. Often I ask them to respond to my question by physical gesture (nodding, raising hand, etc) and acknowledge what I see. Slido is currently my favourite interactive tool. It allows anonymous answers on sensitive topics.
