Leave flexibility in categorization: Leave a mild amount of flexibility in order to handle irregular data loads without having to retroactively change your system, and in order to encourage point 2, 2. Stick to your system: Cannot be over-stressed. Leaving data loads halfway sorted with a mentality of being able to sort it later always leads to disaster. Maintain your tagging and categories or you'll end up having to redo the work anyway. 3. Trust, but verify, automation: Automate only routine and initial validations of data loads, but never blindly trust automation. Critical check? Human.
