Resolving conflicts isn't always the best approach, use that friction to pivot into curiosity or new ideas. ↳ Conflict means there is diversity of thought in the room (which is a good thing!) ↳ Tension actually helps people engage believe it or not - think about it, people care enough to disagree which means they care. So how do you use that conflict to move forward productively? ↳ Reframe the conflict as opportunity. ↳ Use questions and curiosity, have people only answer in questions instead of statements when conflict arises. ↳ If conflict is getting focused on people, shift the convo back to problems not people.

To resolve conflicts during facilitation, 1) Involve everyone. Ensure all voices are heard and everyone gets a chance to express their opinions. 2) Foster open and respectful communication. 3) Ensure the confidentiality in the meeting. Make sure the documents, recordings and meeting notes are not shared beyond the level of accebility. 4) Ensure participants actively listen and encourage them for better collaboration. 5) As a facilitator Ensure that your opinions can also be provided if necessary. 6) Insist on the motive of the colloboration and ensure the solution discussion is happening in the right direction and Redirect it whenever necessary. 7) Be a conflict resolver and not a conflict creator or encourager.
