From my own experience resistance usually comes from fear. Fear for the unknown. Or sometimes it reflects misunderstanding. But it’s not a rejection of diversity itself. Never. Pro tip: when you reframe the team’s differences as complementary strengths (and focus on shared goals), things tend to shift naturally. Promised. Because people want to feel heard and be seen. So share a common purpose. Yup, that’s often all it takes to turn resistance into trust. Long story short: create a space where fresh insights can emerge.
