The Common Goal of a Project is set and must not be altered. However, the difference in "perception" of the team members regarding the Common Goal needs to be addressed. This be done through both formal and informal communication to understand and then converge those different perceptions towards the Common Goal. Also, the aspect of "What's in there for Me" needs to be elaborated to keep the Team members focused towards achieving the ultimate Project Goal.
