As Founder & CEO of CraveTech Info Solutions, having collaborated with Fortune 500 giants like Visa, Broadcom, and Texas Instruments, I prioritize staying ahead in the ever-evolving AR industry. We foster a culture of continuous learning by encouraging our team to participate in workshops, webinars, and industry conferences. Access to cutting-edge tools, AR SDKs, and hands-on training ensures our skills align with the latest standards. Regular knowledge-sharing sessions and collaborations with industry experts keep us innovative. By investing in upskilling, we empower our team to not only meet industry demands but to lead in delivering transformative AR solutions for our clients.

Anyone familiar with web/game development will tell you standards are constantly changing, period. There's a new design trend or JS framework every week; Three.js, Unity, and Unreal regularly release new versions that change/evolve their ways of working, so change just needs to be a given. With AR projects usually having relatively short production timelines, it's less likely they'll be directly impacted by that. In the end, the burden to adapt to the ongoing change falls onto creators, both on the design and development side. Having a curious mindset to stay abreast of latest developments and popular platforms' roadmaps, and an appetite to play with the new approaches without being afraid of failing, is crucial to succeed in this space.

We keep our team ahead in AR by investing in continuous learning through courses and webinars, fostering knowledge-sharing during regular meetings, and engaging with AR industry groups to stay updated on trends and best practices.

🎯 Choosing Client-Satisfying Features on a Budget ✔️ Prioritize Impact: Focus on features that deliver maximum value and user engagement. 🤝 Collaborate with Clients: Be transparent about trade-offs to identify must-haves vs. nice-to-haves. 💡 Use Smart Tools: Open-source libraries and pre-built assets can trim costs without sacrificing quality. 📊 Test & Refine: Prototype key features to ensure they meet client expectations before full deployment.

To keep the team updated with evolving AR industry standards, encourage continuous learning through webinars, workshops, and certifications. Schedule regular knowledge-sharing sessions, explore new tools, and follow AR industry leaders. Engage in hands-on experimentation with emerging technologies, and stay informed through blogs, forums, and conferences to ensure the team remains innovative and competitive.

Keeping a team updated with the latest AR standards involves a few strategic steps: Structured Learning— Encourage ongoing education through courses and webinars specific to AR advancements. Knowledge Exchanges— Hold regular meetings where team members can share new learnings and discuss how they apply to current projects. Active Community Engagement— Participate in AR forums and industry groups to exchange ideas and stay ahead of emerging trends. Real-World Application— Implement a pilot project to apply new standards in a real-world scenario, which helps solidify learning. These practices help ensure your team stays informed and effectively integrates new knowledge into your projects.

As a team leader working with AR/XR or any emerging technologies I understand the need and room for exploration by my team. It is important to create specific times of exploration through collaboration, invention and playfulness. As such we like to set times aside for play and exploration: from weekly discussions on current tech and society themes, individual member presentations on specific topics they are/want to be specialized in, guest presentations from diverse backgrounds reinforcing interdisciplinary and collaboration, but also internal hackathons on serious and not so serious themes and workshops technologies that we want to understand better. We learn through play so lets take advantage of that enthusiasm.

The AR field changes so rapidly and keeping the whole team in the loop is a must. This is how we do it: Continuous learning: The team is encouraged to enroll for courses, attend webinars, and stay abreast of what is new. Knowledge Sharing: We hold regular meetings at which every participant shares what they have learnt, new ideas, or trends they have come across. Being in Touch: Membership in AR groups or forums, actively attending AR events allows us to keep on top of latest best practices or industry news. To be sharp and ahead of the curve in the view of this active sector!
