Use Tint If you have a Heading in you visual and subtext, then use a color in heading and use its lighter shade in your subtext 3.Use 60/30/10 rule choose 3 main colors and use 60% for background (let's say black) 30% for elements (let's say light blue) 10% for highlight text (let's say blue) 4. Maintain consistency limit the number of colors and stick to 2 to 3 max colors use analogous , complementary color etc
