Fostering an environment for curiosity means allowing for failure and calling it what it is while simultaneously communicating that it is okay to fail. People fail their way to success. One way that companies can foster this is through intrapreneurship, which essentially organizationally sponsored entrepreneurship which in itself means there is room for failure and learning. Such a practice could deactivate the fear associated with trying to be successful on the first test. Additionally, encourage people to examine what went right with their approaches instead of just what wrong. There is a lot of communication involved in creating the conditions to be comfortable with failure. Leaders must focus heavily on the active listening.

Additionally and very important is to cultivate a culture of open communication where employees feel comfortable sharing ideas, even if they seem unconventional, and where exploration is celebrated alongside success. This often gets missed.

If you link the Performance management Appraisals perspectives with completion of the Learning Hours with a certain percentage of achievement, as one of the objectives you don't have to send reminders for Training programs. When I implemented the Balanced Scorecard, I used the Learning and Growth perspective with 25% weightage to have completion of Trainings with 60% Assessment scores and Mandatory Training hours of certain hours per month and I could see the commitment towards learning go up manyfold.

Track learner engagement and completion rates to understand how learners interact with the materials and identify areas where they might need additional support or where the program itself can be improved.

Organisations can also link milestones of Trainings to their Promotions and redesignations. Such milestones to achieve some desired role, will foster learning and bring readiness to the learner.
