Ultimately you need to know your customer and your market to make the right call.

One of the most effective ways I've discovered to communicate my worries is to inform the client that testing the product's usability can assist them in removing any minor roadblocks that a customer may encounter, as well as hiding a non-functional element on their website or product. I find that clients are ultimately concerned with earnings, and showing them that something will help them have a higher probability of customer acquisition and retention can help them realise the value of the exercise. However, if the client wishes to shoot himself in the foot. It's fine to simply agree with them to obtain that salary. But I prefer to let the client know about their errors and wouldn't work with them in their future endeavours.
